Terminal B at LaGuardia Airport has been evacuated and temporarily closed following a reported security threat involving a suspicious device. Dozens of passengers and staff were evacuated as law enforcement and TSA officials halted passenger screening to assess the potential threat.
Emergency response teams, including bomb disposal units, are currently on the scene to investigate and secure the area. Authorities have urged travellers to avoid Terminal B and expect delays and potential disruptions to flights.
In a statement, a TSA spokesperson advised, “Travellers scheduled to fly from LaGuardia should check with their airlines for updates, and passengers currently at the airport should remain in contact with airport personnel for guidance.”
The situation remains ongoing, and updates will follow as authorities continue their investigation.
