Emergency services rushed to tackle a kitchen fire in Park View, Sturry on Monday, 5 May, after reports of flames erupting inside a residential property.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) confirmed that two fire engines were dispatched to the scene at around 4:39pm.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used high-pressure hose reel jets to bring the fire under control. A positive pressure ventilation fan was also deployed to clear smoke from the building.
Volunteer Support Provided
The KFRS Volunteer Response Team attended alongside firefighters to provide crucial support to the affected occupants during the incident.
Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
Cause of Fire Unknown
At this stage, the cause of the kitchen fire remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
