Kitchen Fire in Sittingbourne Quickly Extinguished

Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and main jet. 

No injuries were reported. 

It’s believed the fire started accidentally when an electrical item caught fire and spread to other flammable items in the room, including bedding. 

KFRS’ Volunteer Response Team also attended to provide support to the affect residents.
