In a deeply disturbing incident, an investigation has been launched after a teenage girl reported being raped at a playground in Erith. The harrowing incident unfolded on Canada Road shortly after 9:30pm on August 15, sending shockwaves through the community.
Authorities swiftly responded to the distressing call, with an 18-year-old man apprehended near the scene on suspicion of rape. The individual was taken into police custody for questioning and subsequently released on bail pending further investigations.
During the initial stages of the investigation, a cordon was erected on Canada Road to facilitate the meticulous work of detectives. However, as their inquiries progressed, the cordon has since been removed.
