Merseyside Police have launched an investigation after a van containing veterinary drugs was stolen in the Woolton area this morning.
Details of the Theft
- The incident occurred outside St Peter’s Church on Church Road between 8:00 AM and 8:50 AM on Sunday, 12 January.
- A grey Volkswagen Transporter (73 plate) was stolen from the location.
- The van contained a quantity of veterinary medicine, including:
- Somulose (used for euthanasia)
- Opioids
- Sedatives
Public Safety Warning
Authorities have warned that the stolen veterinary drugs could be highly dangerous if consumed by humans.
A police spokesperson stated:
“We urge anyone who finds this medication or any other prescription drugs not to consume them. Instead, they should be handed into the nearest police station immediately or reported by calling 101.”
