In a groundbreaking development, the International Criminal Court (ICC) has announced its intention to seek arrest warrants for two prominent figures: Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The charges against them relate to alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.
ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan revealed this information in an exclusive interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. According to Khan, the charges stem from the October 7 attacks on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza.
Sinwar, a key figure within Hamas, faces allegations of orchestrating war crimes. Meanwhile, Netanyahu, as Israel’s prime minister, is accused of similar offences.
