Emergency services are currently attending a house fire on Roman Road, Snodland, and are urging people to avoid the area while the incident is being dealt with.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service has deployed four fire engines to the scene, and Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) are also in attendance. Firefighters are using personal protective equipment, including breathing apparatus, to tackle the blaze.
One person has been handed over to paramedics for treatment, though their condition remains unknown at this time. The cause of the fire is not yet determined.
Residents in the area are advised to stay clear of Roman Road and share this information with neighbours who may not have internet access.
