Greater Manchester Police is seeking information from the public regarding an incident that occurred on Friday, 29 September 2023, at approximately 6.30pm on a tram near Queens Road in Manchester. Reports indicate that a man engaged in inappropriate behaviour, causing distress to several female passengers.
Officers are currently conducting investigations into the matter and have released a photograph of an individual they believe may be able to provide valuable assistance in their inquiries.
Inspector Stephen Griffin, from Greater Manchester Police’s Transport Unit, emphasised the importance of ensuring passengers’ safety and well-being while using public transportation. He stated, “Passengers should be able to feel safe when travelling on public transport. This sort of behaviour is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.” Inspector Griffin urged anyone who witnessed the incident but has yet to come forward or provide details about the person in the photograph, to contact the police and provide any information they may have.
