Hampshire Police Release Image of Man in Connection with Aldershot Rape Investigation

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have released an image of a man they wish to speak to as part of an ongoing investigation into a reported rape in Aldershot.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 9pm on October 24, 2023, and 1am on October 25, 2023. The victim, a woman in her 40s, was attacked at an unspecified location within the Aldershot area.

The investigation initially faced challenges, leading to a temporary pause due to a lack of evidence. However, new lines of inquiry have recently emerged, prompting police to reopen the case and release the image of a man they wish to identify.

The man is described as an Asian male, approximately 6ft tall, of slim build, with a black and grey beard and black hair.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the man or has any information related to the incident to contact them.

Those with information can call 101 and quote reference number 44230436475. Reports can also be submitted online. Alternatively, individuals can provide information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Police are keen to progress the investigation and are appealing for the public’s assistance.
