Fuse Board Alight at Gravesend Property Prompts Quick Response
Emergency services were called to a domestic property on Dashwood Road, Northfleet, after a fuse board caught fire on the afternoon of Monday, 26 May 2025.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that two fire engines attended the scene just before 4:45pm. Crews in breathing apparatus used high-pressure hose reel jets to quickly bring the flames under control.
Cause Believed to Be Electrical Fault
An electrical safety engineer from UK Power Networks also attended. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental, linked to an electrical fault within the fuse board.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Official Statement
A spokesperson from Kent Fire and Rescue Service said:
“We were called to reports of a fuse board alight at a property in Dashwood Road, Gravesend. Crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hose-reel jets. The cause is believed to be accidental due to an electrical fault.”
