Upon arrival, firefighters donned breathing apparatus and deployed high-pressure hose reel jets to swiftly extinguish the flames engulfing the garage. The rapid response and decisive actions of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading further.
During the incident, two individuals at the scene were assessed by emergency personnel as a precautionary measure due to symptoms of shock and smoke inhalation. Fortunately, their conditions did not require hospitalization, and they received appropriate care on-site.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the fire was accidental and may have originated from a tumble dryer within the garage. A possible equipment fault is being considered as the cause.
In light of this incident, authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and prioritize safety when using electrical appliances, especially white goods. It is essential to ensure that all appliances are in good working order before use, adhere to manufacturer’s guidelines, and register electrical appliances for product recall notifications.
