Further charges in connection with Andre Bent murder in Maidstone
Detectives investigating the murder of 21-year-old Andre Bent from Lambeth, south London, have charged two more people with violent disorder. Andre died following a disturbance in the High Street in Maidstone during the early hours of Sunday, 25 August 2019. Earlier this month, a 16-year-old boy from the Hornsey area of north London was charged with Andre’s murder as part of an ongoing investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate. He is currently remanded in custody awaiting his next court appearance. On Tuesday, 17 September, two more men were arrested and later charged with violent disorder in connection with the disturbance:
- Jerral Johnson, 26, of Boyne Close in Hornsey, London
- Kaline Riley, 23, of Campsfield Road in Hornsey, London
