Four individuals, including a teenager, have been charged with attempted murder following a violent incident in Reading, Thames Valley Police confirmed. The charges come in the wake of an altercation that occurred on Wensley Road at around 1 p.m. on Friday, October 11.
The suspects, identified as Dallen Brown, 22, of Swallows Croft, and Davis Nduyimana, 22, of Granville Road, along with a 17-year-old who cannot be named due to legal reasons, were charged with one count each of attempted murder. They also face charges for threatening a person with an offensive weapon, which included bladed articles and corrosive substances, in a private location.
A fourth suspect, Keenan Dawes, 20, also of Swallows Croft, was charged separately on Thursday, October 17. Dawes faces one count of attempted murder and an additional charge of possessing a knife blade or sharp-pointed article in a public place.
Brown, Nduyimana, and the 17-year-old appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 15, while Dawes appeared at the same court on Friday, October 18. All four have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday, November 11.
Thames Valley Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, which has raised concerns among the local community. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the events on Wensley Road to come forward to assist with the ongoing inquiry.
