One of the most recognisable voices in top-flight football commentary, Guy Mowbray, is set to lend his captivating voice to “Gladiators,” the iconic and exhilarating sports entertainment gameshow making its return to BBC One and iPlayer.
Guy Mowbray, renowned for his commentary work with BBC Sport on major events like the Africa Cup of Nations, European Championship, FA Cup, and Premier League, will now take the helm as the voice of “Gladiators.” Millions of viewers remember hanging on to Guy’s every word during the nail-biting final of the 2021 Euros, where he narrated Italy’s ultimate triumph over England on live BBC Television. His distinctive voice is also well-known among gamers, featuring in the EA Sports FC 24 game.
In his new role, Guy Mowbray will provide voiceover commentary for all the thrilling action as brave contenders take on mighty challenges and the formidable Gladiators.

“Gladiators” is a production by Hungry Bear and MGM Alternative UK for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
