A Florida pizza delivery worker is facing serious charges after allegedly stabbing a pregnant customer 14 times in a shocking attack reportedly triggered by dissatisfaction over a $2 tip.
The incident occurred at the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee on Friday, where 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo had delivered a pizza to a woman celebrating a birthday with her boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter.
Tipping Dispute Turns Violent
According to authorities, the victim paid Alvelo $50 for a $33 order but tipped only $2 because the delivery driver did not have change. Alvelo allegedly became enraged, left the scene, and later returned with an accomplice, armed and intent on violence.
The Attack
Police say the pregnant woman shielded her young daughter during the brutal assault, sustaining multiple stab wounds to her back and torso. Despite her injuries, the victim survived and is being treated in hospital.
The child and the victim’s boyfriend were unharmed physically but were deeply traumatized by the attack.
Charges Against Alvelo
Alvelo has been charged with:
- Attempted murder
- Home invasion with a firearm
- Assault
- Kidnapping
Her alleged accomplice is also in custody and faces similar charges.
Community Outrage
The attack has left the community in shock, with many expressing disbelief that such a violent act could be provoked by a tipping dispute.
Authorities have praised the victim’s bravery in protecting her child and have urged anyone with further information to come forward as the investigation continues.
