A suspected burglar has been swiftly charged following a break-in at a Faversham business, Kent Police have confirmed.
Shortly before 6am on Thursday, 1 May 2025, officers were called to a report of a burglary at a grocery store near Bysing Wood Road.
Items were allegedly stolen from a storage unit at the premises.
Swift Police Response Leads to Arrest
Police attended the scene and swiftly launched an investigation.
Later that morning, an arrest was made in connection with the incident.
On Friday, 2 May, Britney Gibson, 25, of Priory Place, Faversham, was charged with burglary.
Additional Charges Brought
In addition to the burglary charge, Ms. Gibson will also face:
- Three charges of theft relating to the alleged theft of alcohol from Premier Express in Faversham town centre between 20 March and 5 April.
- An assault charge connected to an incident at Premier Express on 5 April, where a shop worker was allegedly assaulted.
Court Appearance
Ms. Gibson has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 May 2025.
