Kent Police have arrested five men in connection with a violent altercation that left a man in his 20s seriously injured late on Friday, December 20, 2024. The incident occurred at the junction of Minster Road and Sunnyside Avenue, Minster-on-Sea, shortly before 11:50 PM.
Incident Details
Officers were called after the victim was found unconscious following a clash between two groups of men, one of which was reported to be armed with baseball bats. The victim, who was with two friends, was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The arrested men, aged between 18 and 42 and from the local area, are currently in custody as investigations continue.
Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives are appealing for witnesses, including anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage that may have captured the altercation. They are also seeking information about an earlier confrontation between the two groups inside The Highlander pub on High Street, Minster, which reportedly occurred between 9:30 PM and 11:30 PM.
