Fire crews were called to a kitchen fire in Forest Grove, Tonbridge, early this morning, with emergency services rescuing one person from the property.
Firefighters Respond to Early Morning Blaze
At 5:01 a.m., Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) received reports of a fire in a residential kitchen. Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked quickly to extinguish the blaze using high-pressure hose reel jets.
One Person Rescued and Treated for Smoke Inhalation
Firefighters rescued one occupant from the property, who was then handed over to South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) for treatment due to smoke inhalation. Their condition remains unknown at this time.
Cause of Fire and Safety Reminder
The fire is believed to have been caused by burnt food, prompting a safety reminder from fire crews.
