Multiple Outbuildings and Containers Destroyed in Deliberate Fire
Firefighters were called to a large fire at a small holding in Navestock on Friday evening, where two ISO containers and several derelict outbuildings were engulfed in flames.
Crews Face Challenging Conditions
Fire crews from Brentwood, Ongar, Loughton, Grays, and Harlow were deployed to the scene, along with a water bowser from Corringham, to help tackle the rapidly spreading fire.
Despite difficult access to the site, firefighters worked tirelessly to prevent the fire from causing further destruction.
Crew Manager Anthony Wakelin praised the emergency teams, stating:
“Crews worked tirelessly in difficult conditions to prevent further damage.”
Arson Investigation Launched
Following an investigation, authorities have confirmed that the fire was deliberately set.
The incident has now been classified as arson, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
