Fire crews called to Wootton woodland blaze

Fire crews from Newport and Ryde have been called to a blaze within woodland in Wootton on the Isle of Wight. Two appliances and a water carrier are on scene at Brocks Copse Road in Wootton. They were called to the incident just after 1pm on Thursday. Crews are using two hose reels in an area of woodland around 20metres x 20metre. A water carrier has been sent to the incident to assist fire crews due to the remote location and water supply issues. More to follow
