Five fire engines and a bulk water carrier have been deployed to tackle a warehouse fire in Queenborough, Kent, as smoke fills the air over Thomsett Way.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 12:30 pm on Friday, 9 May 2025, following reports of a fire at a commercial warehouse in the Swale district.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that five appliances and a specialist bulk water carrier are actively working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.
In a public statement, fire officials reassured residents:
“If you’re in the surrounding area, you may notice smoke, but please be assured our crews are working hard to extinguish the flames and keep the scene safe.”
No Injuries Reported
At this time, no injuries have been reported, and crews remain on site to dampen hot spots and assess any structural risks. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Residents and businesses in the area are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke and to avoid the area while emergency crews work.
