A massive fire has broken out at an industrial estate on Ferry Lane in Rainham, prompting a swift response from emergency services. As of now, twenty fire engines and approximately 125 firefighters are on the scene, battling the flames that have engulfed two industrial units.
A 25-meter safety cordon has been established as a precautionary measure to protect nearby residents and businesses. The London Fire Brigade received the distress call at 1.11pm, and crews from Barking, East Ham, Wennington, Dagenham, and neighbouring fire stations swiftly mobilised to the location.
In a remarkable display of collaboration, firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service are also providing support at the scene. Despite their efforts, the cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
Authorities urge residents to stay clear of the area and allow emergency responders to carry out their critical work.
