Surrey Police have launched a witness appeal following a fatal collision in Capel, Mole Valley this evening after a motorcyclist in his 20s was tragically found unresponsive in the road.
Emergency services were called to the A24 Horsham Road around 7pm on Saturday, 28 June, where they discovered the rider. South East Coast Ambulance Service also responded to the scene, but the man was sadly pronounced dead despite efforts to save him.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and a full investigation into the circumstances is now underway.
Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Police are asking anyone who was in the Horsham Road area between 6.30pm and 7pm to come forward with any information, including CCTV, dash cam, or helmet cam footage.
“We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who might have seen the incident or the motorcycle prior to the collision,” said a spokesperson for Surrey Police’s Roads Policing Unit.

Road Closures and Local Impact
The A24 Horsham Road was closed in both directions for several hours while collision investigation officers examined the scene. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes. The road has since reopened.
