A property in Boxley, Maidstone, has been left severely damaged after a fierce blaze broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning. Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded swiftly, dispatching six fire engines, a height vehicle, and fifty firefighters and officers to tackle the inferno.
The fire, which started around 4:46am on Yelsted Lane, quickly spread through the house, reaching the roof and causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Despite the firefighters‘ best efforts, the blaze ripped through the structure, leaving the property gutted.
Residents Advised to Avoid Area and Stay Indoors
Authorities have urged residents living in the vicinity to avoid the area and keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service has advised the public to share this information with those who may not have internet access, ensuring the safety of those nearby.
A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “We are currently dealing with a serious house fire in Boxley, and our crews are working hard to bring the situation under control. We ask residents to cooperate by staying clear of the area and keeping their homes protected from smoke.

Firefighters remain on the scene as they continue to extinguish the flames and assess the damage. The cause of the fire is not yet known, and an investigation will be carried out once it is safe to do so.
