Kelvin Ndoro’s twisted ride

A sham taxi driver tricked a Nottingham Trent University student into his car before sexually assaulting her in Nottingham city centre. Kelvin Ndoro lured the young woman into his vehicle, then drove her to a supermarket car park, where he stroked her leg and tried to force her into the back seat.

Student fights back with quick thinking

But the student was no easy target. She had the presence of mind to film Ndoro’s creepy behaviour. When he unlocked the car doors, she bolted and hid behind a wall to escape his clutches.

Justice served – but scars remain

Yesterday at Nottingham Crown Court, Ndoro was jailed for 15 months. Judge Mark Watson condemned his actions, saying: “The victim no longer feels safe walking in the city where she lives.”

Ndoro also received a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and was placed on the sex offender register for a decade.
