Alarming Police Impersonation Cases Reported in Maidstone Area
Recent police impersonator incidents near Maidstone have raised serious safety concerns among local residents. Kent Police has launched an investigation following two separate incidents where drivers were stopped by individuals falsely presenting themselves as police officers.
Details of the Concerning Incidents
The first police impersonation incident occurred around 11:30 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. A female motorist and her passenger were traveling between Kingswood and Chart Sutton when they encountered a suspicious vehicle. The impersonator’s car flashed its headlights before displaying unauthorised blue lights, prompting the woman to stop.
