A man who posed as a paramedic to gain the trust of women he met on Tinder has been jailed for a series of sexual offences, including rape and assault.
Jamie Kadolski, 25, of Ladysmith Road, Norwich, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court to 12 years in prison, with an additional three years on extended licence, after being found guilty of nine sexual offences against three women over a 13-month period.
Kadolski, a former call-handler with the East of England Ambulance Service, falsely claimed to be a paramedic and used fake ID stickers, uniforms, and medical accessories to mislead his victims. His crimes took place between August 2022 and September 2023.
Judge Anthony Bate, sentencing, described Kadolski as a “dangerous offender” who continued to pose a high threat to women, and said the defendant showed “no insight into the gravity” of his actions.
“You projected a misleading impression of your healthcare professional status through your misuse of uniforms, health service identity cards and related papers,” the judge said.
“Each of your victims expected to be safe in your company and able to enjoy a healthy and fulfilling future relationship based on mutual respect.”
Victim Testimonies
In powerful victim impact statements read in court, one woman described herself as “a shadow of who I once was,” revealing that she had attempted to take her own life following the trauma. Another victim said she still experiences nightmares and vivid flashbacks, fearing Kadolski will return to harm her.
A third victim said she continues to blame herself for what happened.
Kadolski was convicted of:
- Three counts of rape
- Three counts of sexual assault against one woman
- Three further sexual offences against two other women
He was cleared of charges involving a fourth woman.
Police and Ambulance Service Response
Det Con Claire Floyd of Norfolk Police praised the courage of the victims and said the women had “suffered truly traumatic ordeals at Jamie Kadolski’s hands.”
“Although no sentence can ever make up for what happened, I hope today’s result offers some comfort that this dangerous and manipulative sexual predator is behind bars.”
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed Kadolski was immediately suspended upon his arrest and condemned his actions.
“We are appalled at the crimes Jamie Kadolski has been sentenced for today. Our thoughts are with the victims and all those affected. We recognise the courage it takes to come forward.”
Kadolski’s defence barrister, Michael Cohen, told the court that legal representatives were pursuing an application to appeal the convictions.
