Emergency services swiftly responded to a fairground ride malfunction at the Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park around 6.20pm on Saturday.
Four individuals have been transported to the hospital, and their conditions are currently being assessed. Fortunately, no one is trapped on the ride.
Authorities have cordoned off the area, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the failure. The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) will be notified to ensure a thorough examination of safety protocols and to prevent any future incidents.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Safety is our utmost priority, and we are cooperating fully with the authorities to understand what happened and to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
