Kirby emphasised the US commitment to thwarting such support, highlighting the growth of military capabilities in the region.

Despite a series of attacks on US bases by suspected Iran-backed groups, the Pentagon emphasised the absence of explicit directives from the Iranian leadership, while holding Iran responsible for supporting militant groups.

The Israeli military detailed strikes on various targets, including a Hamas fighters’ tunnel and command posts.
