A resident in Enfield is seeking help to identify a Just Eat delivery driver who was caught on camera allegedly stealing their child’s toys from their doorstep.
What Happened?
The incident took place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, when the resident received a food order via Just Eat at their block of flats.
According to the resident, after handing over the delivery, the driver was seen taking toys left outside the doorstep. Shockingly, the driver then returned a second time to steal more items.
Just Eat’s Response
The resident contacted Just Eat to report the theft, but was told the company could not take any action and that they should report it to the police. Furthermore, Just Eat refused to provide the driver’s details, citing privacy policies, leaving the victim frustrated and unsure of their next steps.
Appeal for Information
The victim is now turning to the local community for help in identifying the suspect.
“I don’t know what to do. The app doesn’t show the driver’s details, and Just Eat won’t help. If anyone recognises him, please let me know,” the resident said in an online post.
Police Investigation
The Metropolitan Police has been contacted regarding the incident, and anyone with information or CCTV footage is encouraged to come forward.
