Emergency services have beenĀ called to Bromley South Station in the early hours of Saturday morning after concerns were raised for a man experiencing a mental health crisis.
British Transport Police (BTP) and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were deployed to the scene just after 12:30 amĀ on Saturday 8th March 2025 following reports of a distressed individual.
Emergency Services Called to Bromley South Station Amid Mental Health Incident
It is understood the man is on a bridge near the station, prompting an urgent response from a specialist negotiator who are engaging with him in an effort to ensure his safety.
The incident hasĀ caused significant disruption to train services between Bromley South and London Victoria, with delays and cancellations reported. Commuters were urged to check updates before travelling.
Additionally, drivers are being advised to avoid Mason Hill, where a police cordon was in place, and replacement bus services were arranged to assist affected passengers.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said:
āWe were called to Bromley South Station after concerns were raised for a man in distress. Officers, along with paramedics and specialist negotiators,Ā are working to engage with the individual and bring the situation to a safe conclusion.ā
Authorities have encouraged anyone struggling with their mental health to seek support and reach out to organizations such as Samaritans by calling 116 123.
Train services in the area have since resumed, though residual delays may continue.
