Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after an 82-year-old man died following a collision in the Torbay Hospital car park earlier this month.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 2:15pm on Wednesday, 14 May 2025, involving a Hyundai i20 driven by a 72-year-old woman, and the male pedestrian.

The man was taken to Torbay Hospital for treatment but tragically died from his injuries on Tuesday, 20 May, while still under medical care.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

 

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that officers from the Roads Policing Unit are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are urging members of the public to assist.

A spokesperson said:

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the hospital car park at the time and may have witnessed the incident or captured it on dashcam.”
