An 80-year-old man is in a life-threatening condition, described as an elderly man fighting for life, after being struck by a vehicle in a car park/”>park in Shotfield, england/Waleswales/Wallingtonwallington-wales/”>Wallington.
Emergency services were called at around 10am on Thursday, 4 September, after reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
The man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he remains critically injured.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10.00hrs on Thursday, 4 September to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle in a car park in Shotfield, Wallington.
An 80-year-old man was taken to hospital and remains in a life-threatening condition. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.”
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.
Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time, to contact them via 101 quoting reference number to be confirmed.
