Drugs and Weapons Seized in Early-Morning Police Raid in Deal
Overview
A large quantity of drugs and multiple weapons have been seized from a property in Deal following a police operation in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to an address in Swift Crescent at 3.36am on 29 July after a member of the public raised concerns for the welfare of someone inside. When no response was received at the door and movement was observed within the property, officers forced entry.
During the operation, a man was seen attempting to leave the building through a window. He was detained by officers at the scene.
Significant Haul Seized
A full search of the property uncovered more than 30 items, including:
- A machete
- Serrated knives
- A hammer
- Large quantities of clingfilm and weighing scales
- White powder in multiple rooms
- Wraps of suspected Class A and Class B drugs
Arrest Made
A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of:
- Possession of Class A and B drugs
- Being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs
- Possession of an offensive weapon
No other individuals were found inside the property.
The man has since been released on bail while the investigation continues.
