Drivers traversing the M25 this morning are encountering significant delays due to a vehicle fire incident.

Traffic flow is currently being held clockwise within J3 of the Swanley interchange, heading towards Darenth Bypass near Dartford.

One lane of the anti-clockwise carriageway is also closed, adding to the congestion in the area.

National Highways stated social media urging drivers to anticipate prolonged delays on their approach and to factor in extra travel time for their journeys.

Authorities were alerted to the incident shortly after 7:30 am, prompting a swift response from fire crews and other emergency services. As of now, no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
