In a recent incident, detectives are now investigating a cash machine break-in that occurred at the Ubberley Co-op store in Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent. The incident took place on Sunday, October 8, and authorities were alerted at 04.31 BST
According to CCTV footage, two men entered the store, with one of them carrying a crowbar. They attempted to force open the cash machine using a small explosive device but were unsuccessful. Failing to access the cash, the suspects quickly fled the scene on a motorbike. Witnesses reported seeing them heading towards Bucknall on Ubberley Road. Descriptions provided indicate that one of the men was wearing a blue hoody, while the other wore a black hoody.
The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service also responded to the scene to provide assistance. Now, the police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking to individuals who may have CCTV or doorbell footage from the area during the time of the break-in.
