Detectives from Kent Police are seeking the public’s help in establishing the movements of a man whose body was discovered in a lake near West Kingsdown. The man has been identified as Michal Brom, a 34-year-old Czech national. While his death is not considered suspicious, officers are keen to gather information about his activities in the days leading up to the tragic incident.
The authorities were alerted to the presence of a body in the water on September 4, 2023, at approximately 14.45 BST. The location in question is connected to the London Golf Club and is situated in Ash. Upon arrival at the scene, officers and ambulance crews confirmed Michal’s death. His next of kin have been notified.
Detective Sergeant Graham Norman expressed uncertainty regarding Michal’s presence in such a remote area. It has been determined that he only arrived in the UK in July of the same year. However, the circumstances surrounding his travel to Ash and his entry into the lake remain unclear. The police are hopeful that someone may recognise Michal and recall seeing him in the vicinity prior to his demise. They are also eager to speak with anyone who had contact with Michal before his death and has not yet come forward. Such information could help provide answers and bring some closure to Michal’s family.
