On a cold winter night in 2013, the life of Allan Bryant Jr took a tragic turn, leaving his parents Allan Sr and Marie with an unending sense of loss and pain. Allan Jr, aged 23 at the time, had gone out to attend an engagement party and later visited a local nightclub in Leslie Golf Club with his friends. Little did his parents know that this would be the last time they saw their beloved son.
The night took a sinister turn when Allan Jr left the Styx nightclub, in Glenrothes at around 02.02pm to walk back home. On the steps of the club, he encountered an unknown male who, in a shocking and senseless act, pushed him. Following this altercation, Allan Jr vanished without a trace.
His concerned parents reported him missing to Police Scotland on Monday, but despite their relentless efforts and extensive searches, Allan Jr remains missing. A witness who lived near the nightclub came forward, revealing that she had heard shouting and screaming on the night Allan Jr disappeared. She recalled the disturbing noise coming to an abrupt stop, followed by the sound of a car entering and then hastily leaving the Salvation Army area.
Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Houliston of the Major Investigation Team has continued to express his commitment to finding answers for Allan Jr’s family and urged anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. Allan at the time of his disappearance was described as 5ft 6ins tall, with short brown hair, blue eyes, and distinctive tattoos on both arms. He was last seen wearing a Voi t-shirt with navy, grey, and white bands, dark denim jeans, and grey leather plimsolls.
The Bryant family believes Allan Jr may have been murdered, and they have tirelessly campaigned to find answers.
The family are urging anyone with information to contact police on 101 or via email at [email protected]. Additionally, anonymous tips can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or via text to the charity Missing People at 116 000. As the investigation continues, the Bryant family holds onto hope that one day they will get the closure they so desperately seek.
