Dashcam footage sought after serious collision on A282 near Dartford
Overview
Investigators are appealing for dashcam footage following a serious collision involving a car and a motorcycle on the A282 near Dartford.
The incident occurred at around 7.35pm on Sunday, 20 July 2025, when a black Mercedes GLA and a black Honda CB600 motorcycle collided on the slip road for Princes Road. Both vehicles had been travelling from the Dartford River Crossing towards the A2.
Motorcyclist seriously injured
Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, and the motorcyclist was treated for serious injuries before being taken to hospital for further treatment. He has since been discharged.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 32-year-old man from London, was arrested on suspicion of:
- Failing to provide a sample for a breath or drug test
- Causing serious injury by dangerous driving
He has been bailed pending further investigation.
Appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
A spokesperson said:
“We are particularly keen to hear from motorists with dashcam footage who were travelling along the A282 or A2 in the Dartford area at the time of the collision. Your information could be vital to the investigation.”
