A major police investigation is underway in Dagenham after a suspected shooting involving a man and a woman late last night.
Selinas Lane has remained completely closed since the early hours of Monday morning as Metropolitan Police officers continue a full forensic sweep of the area. Forensic teams in blue paper suits have been seen combing the road, which remains taped off.
The exact nature of the incident has not been confirmed, but it is understood that both a man and a woman were involved in the reported shooting.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We were called at 3.41am today (23 June) to reports of a shooting at the junction of Selinas Lane and Coppen Road, Dagenham.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and paramedics from our tactical response unit. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in less than five minutes.
“We treated a man for a gunshot wound and a woman for a head injury before taking them to hospital.
