South Yorkshire Police have unveiled CCTV images of two individuals they seek to speak with in connection to a stabbing incident on Devonshire Street that occurred on the night of December 24, 2023.
At approximately 11pm, two men reportedly approached a 17-year-old victim, who sought refuge inside a nearby shop. Despite the victim’s attempt to evade the assailants, the suspects allegedly forced their way into the establishment, subsequently dragging the young man outside. It is believed that during this encounter, the victim sustained stab wounds to his back, neck, and arm.
The victim, taken to the hospital for treatment, has been uncooperative with police inquiries, complicating the ongoing investigation.
In an effort to progress the case, investigators are urging the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the two men captured in the released CCTV images. The first suspect is described as an Asian male, aged between 20 and 30, of medium build, standing around 5ft 6ins tall, with a short beard. The second suspect is identified as a Black male, also aged between 20 and 30, of medium build, standing approximately 5ft 6ins tall, with black short hair.
Authorities are appealing to anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of these individuals to come forward.
