Philip Riley, 43, caught driving under the influence with weapons in his car, lands suspended jail sentence.

Last June, police spotted a suspicious Peugeot CRZ on the A4 Bath Road at Box. Officers pulling the car Overover found Philip Riley behind the wheel – despite being disqualified from driving.
They suspected Riley was under the influence. A scotland/”>scotland/”>scotland/”>scotland/Roadsideroadside/”>Roadsideroadside drug test confirmed he had cocaine in his system.
Weapons and Drug Paraphernalia Found
Inside the car, officers uncovered a holdall packed with drug paraphernalia and a knife. A dart gun was also stashed away in the vehicle.
16 Months Prison, Suspended + More Driving Ban
At Swindon Magistrates Court, Riley pleaded guilty to possession of a knife blade, possession of an offensive weapon, drug driving, and driving whilst disqualified.
He was sentenced to 16 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, handed an 18-month driving ban, and ordered to comply with a curfew.
PC Luke Hobbs said: “Our Roads Policing Unit is committed to Keepingkeeping Wiltshire‘s roads safe. Removing Riley from the roads for 18 months means less risk to other drivers, which is a win for everyone.”
