Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on the A21 southbound between Hildenborough and Tonbridge at around 8:35am this morning (Tuesday).
Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and quickly worked to extinguish the flames. There are currently no reports of injuries, and the incident was contained to a single vehicle.
Emergency services temporarily blocked part of the carriageway while the scene was made safe, causing delays for southbound motorists during the morning commute.
The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
Motorists are advised to check traffic updates before travelling in the area and allow extra time for their journey if heading towards Tonbridge.
