Emergency services rushed to the scene in Hackney after a Toyota Prius crashed through a fence and ended up in the fountain at Clapton Pond Gardens on Lower Clapton Road, E5 on the early hours of Tuesday 4th MArch 2025.

Police and Water Rescue Teams at Scene

Reports indicate that persons may be trapped inside the submerged vehicle, prompting a response from Police, firefighters, and paramedics.

Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as the car plunged into the water, leaving the fence shattered.

Met Police Statement Awaited

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether anyone was inside the vehicle at the time of impact or if there have been any injuries.
