Police in Sheffield have launched a manhunt after Glen Leary, 44, escaped police custody. Leary, wanted in connection with burglary, arson, domestic offences, and absconding lawful custody, is considered a priority for South Yorkshire Police. Officers are urging the public to call 999 immediately if they see him.
Leary is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, with a slim build, a bald head, and stubble facial hair. Known to frequent Halliwell Crescent and the Southey Green, Parson Cross, Firth Park, and Shiregreen areas of Sheffield, he remains at large as police intensify their search efforts.
In a statement, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said, “We’re asking for your help to find wanted man Glen Leary.” The police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them, quoting incident number 120 from October 24, 2024.
