The shocking assault happened around 8:15pm on Wednesday, 17 September, on Ditchling Road. The teenager spotted a heated argument between a man and a woman. Suddenly, the man turned on the student, attacking him without warning and leaving visible injuries to his head and face.
The fight was broken up when the woman and a friend of the victim intervened. Both man and woman fled before police arrived, leaving the victim battered and shaken.
