Major Collision Closes Brighton City Centre Road
A 16-year-old girl has been left with serious injuries following a collision involving a bus on Western Road in Brighton this afternoon, Sunday 26 May.
Emergency services responded to reports of the incident near Brighton Clock Tower, between H&M and Western Road, at approximately 3.40pm.
Teen Rushed to Hospital
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, providing urgent treatment before transporting the teenager to hospital. Her injuries are described as serious, but no further update on her condition has yet been released.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police confirmed the area is being investigated under Operation Sunstone, and the road remains closed while enquiries continue.
“Enquiries are ongoing and the road will remain closed while our investigation is carried out. We urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact us online or call 101 quoting Operation Sunstone.”
