A five-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car outside a school in Chelmsford. The incident occurred near Beaulieu Park School on Armistice Avenue at around 8:50am on Thursday, March 13.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, swiftly responded to the incident. The young boy was taken by ambulance to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for further medical treatment. His current condition is not yet known.
An East of England Ambulance Service Trust spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating: “We were called at 8.50am with reports of a collision in Armistice Avenue, Springfield. We sent one ambulance and took a 5-year-old boy to Broomfield Hospital for further care.”
Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and have asked anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward.
