A major fire tore through an agricultural building in Borough Green, near Sevenoaks, overnight, prompting a significant emergency response from Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
Incident Details
Emergency services were called to Winfield Lane at 7.47pm on Sunday, 29 June 2025, following reports of a blaze in an agricultural structure. Fire crews worked into the early hours of Monday morning to bring the flames under control.
- Nine fire engines were dispatched to the scene.
- Two bulk water carriers were also deployed to support firefighting efforts.
- Crews used main jets and breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.
- A drone (unmanned aerial vehicle) was utilised to monitor the fire from above.
- Firefighters remained on site until 2.27am.
There are currently no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Public Safety and Advisory
Residents in the area were advised to keep windows and doors closed during the incident due to smoke. Kent Fire and Rescue have since confirmed that the fire has been extinguished and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
