Body of Missing Man Found in Waterlooville
Sad news to report that officers searching for a missing man from Waterlooville have discovered a body.
The family of 28-year-old Anthony Bessey have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Formal identification procedures are ongoing.
More than a dozen people met to search woodland near the back of Crookhorn College, before splitting up to cover the vast forest either side of the A3(M) near to South Downs College this afternoon. Police had grown increasingly concerned for the welfare of the man, who lived in Beresford Close in Waterlooville. Officers have been looking for him in woodland off Park Lane, known as Queen’s Inclosure, part of the Forest of Bere. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
